Let's Do It Again
By Michael

So we had the Wondertime crew aboard for some playtime in Tonga the other day. One of us realized we had aboard all four of the girls who graced the cover of the Voyaging With Kids book; time to recreate the photo. Of course, the models are more than four years older, they're on the bow of Del Viento instead of Wondertime, we're motoring instead of sailing, and we're in Tonga instead of Mexico. Still.

  1. I have the book right beside me and compared the photos - time does not stand still! I'm thoroughly enjoying the book. Love all the photos and the layout! Tons of great info whether one plans to voyage with kids or not. Well done!!

    1. Thanks Kevin. No, time does not stand still. As parents, we hear from day one how fast they grow up, but it takes a good decade, when your kids on the cusp of teen-dom for that to really make sense. Where did the time go? All we can do is to continue making the most of it.

  2. Congratulations on a great book! Planning a cruise with my two girls and I've been following you since you had a mortgage.

I am sure you will hear about this (if not already) but the current issue of Sail has given Michael a sex change... Terribly sloppy journalism, I can't image they read the cover, let alone what's inside.

    1. Thanks for the nice words Philip, I'm glad you like the book. It was a lot of work, but a rewarding project. I did hear about the SAIL misprint. Apparently there is a correction coming.

Thank you for taking the time to comment; we look forward to reading your feedback. Don't forget that you may also contact us directly at (please type DEL VIENTO in the subject line)
